Product Detail

Product NameTau(Phospho-Ser673) Antibody

Host SpeciesRabbit

ClonalityPolyclonal

PurificationAntibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates. Antibodies were purified by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. Non-phospho specific antibodies were removed by chromatogramphy using non-phosphopeptide.

ApplicationsWB,IHC,IF,ELISA

Species ReactivityHu Ms Rt

SpecificityPhospho-Tau (S673) Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of Tau protein only when phosphorylated at S673.

Immunogen TypePeptide-KLH

Immunogen DescThe antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human Tau around the phosphorylation site of Ser673.

This gene encodes the microtubule-associated protein tau (MAPT) whose transcript undergoes complex, regulated alternative splicing, giving rise to several mRNA species. MAPT transcripts are differentially expressed in the nervous system, depending on stage of neuronal maturation and neuron type. MAPT gene mutations have been associated with several neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, Pick's disease, frontotemporal dementia, cortico-basal degeneration and progressive supranuclear palsy.
