Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded human liver tissue stained for Complement C3 using 59783 at 1/100 dilution in immunohistochemical analysis.
Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence Complement C3 antibody (59783)

ICC/IF staining of Complement C3 in Hela cells. Cells were fixed with 4% Paraformaldehyde permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100.
Samples were incubated with 59783 at a working dilution of 1/100. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor® 488 goat anti rabbit, used at a dilution of 1/500.
Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI.
C3 plays a central role in the activation of the complement system. Its processing by C3 convertase is the central reaction in both classical and alternative complement pathways. After activation C3b can bind covalently, via its reactive thioester, to cell surface carbohydrates or immune aggregates.
