Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded human brain tissue stained for Phospho-PKR (T451) using 60285 at 1/100 dilution in immunohistochemical analysis.
Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence Phospho-PKR (T451) antibody (60285)

ICC/IF staining of Phospho-PKR (T451) in 293T cells. Cells were fixed with 4% Paraformaldehyde permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100.
Samples were incubated with 60285 at a working dilution of 1/100. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor® 647 goat anti rabbit, used at a dilution of 1/500.
Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI.

Following activation by double-stranded RNA in the presence of ATP, the kinase becomes autophosphorylated and can catalyze the phosphorylation of the translation initiation factor EIF2S1, which leads to an inhibition of the initiation of protein synthesis. Double-stranded RNA is generated during the course of a viral infection.
